Why I started Cynffon.
I'm 19 and studying Business and Management at the University of Exeter, one of the UK's top universities, with a minor in Applied AI. The degree has given me a solid grounding in both business strategy and the tools that are reshaping it.
Growing up in the Welsh valleys, most of my close friends work in trades. Plumbing, building, electrical work. I've watched them graft hard from early in the morning, doing good work, building a real reputation, and still losing jobs to competitors who just happen to show up higher on Google.
That bothered me. Not because the other guys are better at the trade, but because my friends hadn't had the time or the interest to sort out the digital side. That's not their job. It's mine.
I know AI and digital tools inside out, and I realised I could take all of that completely off their plate. A proper website. A Google presence. Automated follow-up so no lead goes cold. All of it running in the background while they get on with the work.
That's what Cynffon is. A way for tradespeople to focus entirely on what they're good at, while the digital side runs itself.
Outside of Cynffon, I co-founded Pentrebach House Darts, a community darts club in the Welsh valleys built from scratch to bring people together.
